On business plans
I don’t remember now how many business plans I wrote in the period 2006-2008, but quite a lot.
Instead of looking for clients, we were mainly looking for investors in Spain for our big idea of translating text, image, and speech in your mobile phone. Learning times.
Luckily enough, we pivoted and started developing our own product in 2008, and its first sales came that year.
Our main lesson: you don’t need money to develop your product, start with something simple and sell.
If sales come, they will allow you to improve your product and grow, and then you are in a much better position to seek funding.
Use your time in what adds value.
