Selling is an art. Some people are more skilled than others naturally, but definitely it is something that can be learned. Experience helps. However, we have stereotypes about what a good sales person is, maybe was some years ago, but in the knowledge economy, it is no longer that way. The necessary skills for a sales person depend a lot on the industry and on the product/services they are selling. However, a common characteristic is that they shall listen. Listening is the start of a good sale. Instead of talking too much or talking too fast. Sometimes silence is the king.
